What's New - 3.0

A letter from our Co-Founder Jake Horn about Tripgrid's latest release.

Over the past decade we have witnessed a rapid rise in productivity software.

Tools that promise to help us do our jobs faster AND smarter. These new tools have touched thousands of industries and they are helping millions of people automate old workflows and organize their digital data with ease, all thanks to modern interfaces and new technology.

It seems everyone is relishing in this productivity renaissance, basking in their new-found efficiencies and their color coded project management apps. It’s a productivity party and everyone is invited! Right?

Well, everyone except corporate travel. While the rest of the world is all aboard the “future of work” train, we are still at the station trying to figure out if there is an excel formula to show us how much the marketing team spent on flights last quarter.

Seemingly simple travel data management tasks can lead to hours, if not days of work for ourselves and our team. Let’s admit it - our travel data is not nearly as accessible, complete or automated as we’d like it to be in today’s “modern” world.

It’s for this reason that Tripgrid is on a mission to bring modern productivity software into the world of Corporate Travel, so you can save time, money and make sure your travelers are taken care of. Today we’re introducing Tags and Grids as we take a huge step forward in realizing that vision and helping you take control of your travel data and automate your team’s workflows.

Tags give you complete control of how you organize your post-booking travel data. You can create tags for anything including departments, project codes, teams or business units. With tags you can start to tackle problems like leakage, budget tracking, finance reconciliation and workflow automation head on.

With Grids, we have completely rethought how you group your travel data. A grid is a saved segment of travel data. A grid might show you all the travel for the marketing team or any travel that took place between Q2 and Q3 in a particular part of the world. Grids are a powerful tool to help coordinators, managers and finance teams group and manage travel data in ways that are most important to them.

Tags and Grids represent the first phase of Tripgrid’s vision to bring modern productivity to corporate travel. We will continue to add powerful apps that help you not only organize your data but also automate the post-booking workflows that have historically cost you too much time and money to do manually. These apps include powerful spend trackers, traveler trackers, covid alerts, travel document builders, hotel room block management and so much more.

The direction of Tripgrid has always been guided by our customers and that is more important now than it has ever been before. Please share your feedback with us and let us know what features you would like to see as Tripgrid works to build the ultimate post-booking workflow platform.
